So yestearday was the art night event, instead of holding it at the end of the year like we would normally our art teachers decided to move it to right before christmas for sales and other reasons. It wasn't as stressful to prepare for so that what I really enjoyed about it, it was pretty easy fish to get ready for =P

Our sales were wonderful and God bless my art teacher for her amazingness. I was sick all of thursday and stayed home so I wouldn't be for the event after school. I had some boxes I wanted to sell and she went out of her way to find me a spot XP! And trust me if you know how stressed these teachers get before art night you could relate, so yeah. Sales went well for me and the school, I only had around 2 burnt boxes (hobby influenced by Gishkishenh/tarkheki)and 1 small 2 X 2 wooden plaque. I sold all of them and made around 45 dollars =D (which I spent on buying my dad's christmas and birthday gifts XD)!

So as of now I've started my preps for the holiday, I'm happy to know my bill this year won't exceed 60$ seeing as most of the gifts I'll be giving away are artworks and custom burnt boxes.....Maybe some fimo sculptures, haven't really decided yet.

Just a bit about school, I've survived science, failed math and got through art and gym. Next semester I've got computers (Oh Joy!) history, Art again and English =D

hmmm so i've had artists block for about a month now even when i've downloaded the whole Narnia soundtrack, bought a bootlegger and still notin. Well I'm sure i'll have something soon.

Right now I'm very coasy in my bushy Carter sweater and for once relaxed. I think it's the music, this song does wonders! So I uploaded for all to hear *snugs all* <3

Oi! sitting here infront of my computer pretty much pissed at myself for holding off and procrastinating on all these projects. I've got to get these two math assignments done and it's about 6:85 in the morning.

I wok up and went down stairs and it was cold, so I put a sweater on and a second later I was boiling, rolling up my sleves didn't help and al I ended up doing was making my situation of more discomfort..... Ah well at least I had a little booster to an image I've had going for quite a while, just never had the inspiration to go on....no that I'm don I don't know what to do for a backround and I have resorted to looking on google....

^_^ Yush! I finally finished my halloween costume and I'm damn excited to wear it out, though I must say it get prittyhot in that mask and the fur dosen't really do much to cool me down. There were many mistakes that needed to be patched up and after all that I still say it could use some work.

I dedicate this journal entry to those who have suffered from the wrath of hurrican katrina, and pray that as the hurrican to set record for the strongest: Rita, does not destroy but just pass by. I pray for all who have lost their homes and those who might soon.

Right now all I can feel is guilt, compassion, and sorrow. Living in the city of Toronto in Canada, we have such an amazing climate, we don't have to worry about freak storms and hurricanse. We have it good yet the U.S southern states are suffering.

Not to mention it's gotten to the point where not even the well have can drive a car without paying big time. The gas companies are pumping and overdue, our electricity bills will sky rocket more then they already have. prices on food will increase.

When the U.S suffer, we suffer along with them. No where near as bad but mildly. I may sound greedy right now, but I also say this on behalf of those that suffer poverty and those who aren't as well off.

God bless all of them and I pray they make it through this Crisis.

funny thing happened a while ago o-o I got a note on D.a from MyLittleJoy requesting to do a collaboration image with me, of course knowing me i'd never turn down an offer at a collab XD!

So we worked thngs out to me doing the lineart and her colouring (She has mad colouring skillz O-o. Thing is now I've gone to far and made an image so complicated I don't think I'd be able to colour it without spilling my hair on the floor and fainting O-o...........maybe I should restart?

meh I started working on this picture after I saw an interesting head angle, I wanted to try it out after seeing it and as well after the inspiring image of him I found in a magazine. Also, I blame devikuro's previous sketch on this, thats right it's your fault! XD Seeing that made me want to start this whole ordeal _-_, I decided to give it a run for my money.......so I finished the last image and started this one........how is it?

well proportion wise I don't think I have everything straight down, I'm trying to give it all an ancient look and the backround will most likeley be a textured tapestry of some sort..........

well the weeks almost done, thanks to our art teacher we have a HUGE illustration assignment........we need to make a childrens book roughly with 8 illustrations. I bet none of you people had to do that =/

And on another note, I've got a bit of advice fer yers, Never fall asleep with a hairbrush in your bed. It's just not pleasent when you wake up XD

I've been so busy these days it makes me sad, I want to work on more fanart but dang the school. Everytime I come up with a nice sketch I can colour the classes i take have to just come along and assign me a mountain of homework so that I can't work on anything T_T grr for eveil school..............

yes, the weeks been going by very slowly, s'pecially the hours -_- well now that my friend has returned from poland she can entertain me.

School starts up again in a week or so, real bummer for me, I don't like school all to much. Hopefully we'll have a bunch new students coming in that will actualy have some life in them. Well a small entry today.

Oh yes and heres a funny lil quote I thought i'd post, found it on D.A =D

Yes, I was requested on a forum to do a tutorial of one of my drawings! so I thought I'd do this one! I did this picture right before new years and it was a hell of a pain to sniff out all the files and screenshots =)

Lets start with the basics shall we.

Step:1



Pick a sketch, any sketch!

note: Your sketch can be as complicated as a well thought out detailed sketch or something plain and simple that you'd like to go over and add the detail to on the computer!


Step:2





After you got your sketch or picture down then it's time to start work! Lets create a new layer to go over top of that old one shall we!

note: If your bottom layer is too light and unseeable because of scanning. Go to the drop down menu at the top labelled "image" and then go to "adjustments" and choose "brightness/contrast" this will let you darken the lines of your sketch. You can fiddle round with it, it will also lighten your lines if they are to dark ;)

Step:3



Pentooling! this is the most important part for doing your image, click the icon that looks like a calligraphy nib and hold until you get a drop down menu. Next proceed by selecting the first nib on the menu.

Step:4



Here comes the fun part! Now, on your newly added layer click on on the first point you wish to start from. Then click another point near by (but not too close) that is after a curved area. Now that you have 2 anchor points, you've created a path! you can continue the path and click on other areas which you want your line to be. If you don't understand just keep reading, you'll catch on sooner or later XD

Step:5



Head back to the pen tool icon and click the third nib from the top, the nib with an adition sign beside it, this is called the anchor point tool.

Step:6



Now that you have a path down, you can begin molding your lines to fit the image below. The anchor point tool helps to do that, just click any area between your anchor points and move it while holding down on the mouse or tablet pen. Once you've done that it will create another anchor point. If you make a mistake right click over top of the anchor point and select "delete anchor point".

Step:7



Time to make some lines on this, make sure your on the newest layer! head to the layer window and at the top of the box should be a paths window (if it's not there select the "window" drop down menu and open it) Click on the icon of an empty circle and whalla! you have a line!

Step:8



To get rid of your path, right click and on the drop down menu select "delete path" and then you have a nice clean line! if you don't like the line, iy can easily be erased without harming the image underneath it. Thats what layers are for!

Step:9





Heres the end result, nice clean COLOURABLE lines =D!
note: There were a lot of edits done to this image after it was done over in lines, if you see them in the next tutorial just ignore them =3

Next tutorial will be on colouring!

yes, its that time of the warm humid season where we finally get to break and go on vacation1 =D I'm head'n up north to huntsville to wakeboard! one of the most amazing pass time activites! the second best thing to iner tubing at the back of a motor boat going 100 miles per- erm anyways, yes it's very fun.

Hopefully I'll muster up the courage to crack open my ziplock bags and start practicing up on my traditional work, pencil crayons and copic marquers mainly -Nod- Mau I've done one so far and it ain't lookin half bad, I drew one of the scenes from an RPG I had with a deviantart buddy, I'll post it below.

I got a bit lazy on the backround but everything else seems to be A-Okay on it, maybe I could learn proportions and that would help a lot more for the next time i'm working on a picture =D.
His eyes also look a bit odd, oh well this is not art site, it's a journal so chew on that and go dance the hokie-pokie XD

Then as you see David (top middle) laughs at me which leaves me feel'n a whole lot better about this. God bless you maye for the picture <3 she's the integration worker in charge of dealing with "special needs" campers.
